PRfsS Ltd is a venture aimed at
providing IEC61508/11 Functional Safety Services to the Nuclear and Process
Industries.
It has been formed initially by
Philip R Smith a
Functional Safety Specialist with some seventeen years of experience of
designing safety systems for the process and Nuclear Industry in Europe.
Philip has been studying IEC61508 since 1994, he has written papers in support
and was instrumental in gaining Sira IEC61508 certification for a well known
safety systems integrator, using the CASS system.
Philip is an experienced safety system designer and has given presentations and
training on various aspects.
He has also had considerable experience of SIL capability assessments, FMEDA of
electronic sub-systems (including new product design) and the construction of
Functional Safety assessment reports.
Philip is a Sira Associate.
PRfsS Ltd wholly supports the aims and objectives of the IEC61508 Association and CASS and use the CASS Schedules and templates for Functional Safety Assessment
